What remains

405 x 60 x 5 cm

dichroic glass, wood

The wall piece consists of several dichroic glass sheets, which partially overlap each other.

Several layers of reflection are created by partially removing the coating from each surface of the pane as well as layering the sheets.

By manually removing the coating the surface is covered with several imprecisions which might be perceived as flaws. Hence the beauty of the dichroic glass gets disturbed and the panes obtain a picturesque character.

Every single sheet of glass represents another day.

Different emotions were assigned to correlating colors, which in combination with the various intervals of the vertical bars create an abstract translation of what I was feeling on a certain day.
