Glasses

Dimensions: 125cm x 25cm x 25cm          glass, wood, safety goggles, leather

I am intrigued by the potential of glass to alter our visual experience.

Perception is a very individual subject and differs from person to person. That's because our perception is strongly connected with who we are, it has to do with our knowledge and previous experiences including our culture.

I use glass as a metaphor to challenge and question our perception of what surrounds us.

The optical devices on the shelf allow the person wearing it to experience the world as we know it from different perspectives and hence suggest the existence of more than one true reality.
