Alter Ego

d= 40cm                                 blown glass/ground, mirror, wood

Glass has the ability to change the way we see the world that lays behind it.

I use the material as a tool to challenge our default notion that what we see is real. Incoming sensory information is interpreted differently and individually, depending on one’s past experiences.

The observer experiences a mixture of multiplied and distorted surroundings.

It shows the reality, as we know it from a different perspective and thus suggests the possibility of the existence of more than one truth.
